Stem Cell Therapy
Stem Cell therapy is a new and still experimental treatment for tendon and ligament injuries.
The process involves obtaining bone marrow from the horse's sternum (breast bone). The stem cells are harvested and cultivated from the marrow before being injected under ultrasound guidance into the tendon or ligament injury.
