Born in the Sudan and later schooled in England, Percy graduated veterinary school and commenced practice in the Royal Army Veterinary Corps in India. Percy later returned to England and practiced in and around London caring for the large number of commercial horses used in those times.

Percy immigrated to Australia in 1951 and commenced practice on his own; this practice would later grow into the Randwick Equine Centre of today. (See History section of website). Percy is still practicing at the Randwick racetrack, and also consults from the hospital.

Practice focus: Racetrack practice, International provision of veterinary services

Born in Burma, Treve moved to India and later England before immigrating to Australia permanently to attend University. Treve joined the Randwick Equine Centre in 1965, entering practice under the guidance of Percy Sykes. Treve has been an active and much respected participant in the Thoroughbred Racing industries administration, being a long serving committeeman and chairman of the Australian Jockey Club. Treve has also fostered close relationships with developing overseas racing industries, particularly Hong Kong.

Prof began practice working for Sydney University at Badgerys Creek in 1947. In 1957, under Prof's guidance, the University of Sydney started their facility at Camden. Prof has been a pioneer of both equine surgery and medicine within Australia and his name is recognized both nationally and internationally. He was granted specialist registration in equine medicine in 1989 and in surgery in 1990. In 1990, Prof retired from the University of Sydney and joined the Randwick Equine Centre as a consultant. Prof consults from the hospital on both internal medicine and surgery cases. Prof also acts as an official veterinarian for Racing NSW attending race meetings and barrier trials at Sydney metropolitan tracks.

After graduation Colin practiced in Australia and the UK prior to pursuing further training in the USA. Colin worked on staff at University of California Davis and later at Colorado State University where he was an Associate Professor and Chief of the Anaesthesia section. Colin returned to Australia and began consulting at Randwick Equine Centre in 1996. Colin is the director of AAS Medical, an Australian anaesthesia based company http://www.aasmedical.com.au
